The Historical Trajectory and Experience Enlightenment of the Communist Party of China’s Understanding of Socialism from the Perspective of the Party Constitution

The CPC’s understanding of socialism is a process from shallow to deep, from the surface to the inside, and the revision of the Party Constitution in previous sessions basically reflects the evolution of the Party’s understanding of socialism. During the period of the democratic revolution, the Communist Party of China made theoretical preparations for the realization of socialism from the level of social ideals, explored how to transition to socialism and build socialism at the level of social system after the founding of the People’s Republic of China, and created and developed socialism with Chinese characteristics from the essential level of society after the reform and opening up, thus entering a new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Based on the examination of the revision of the previous Party Constitution and reviewing the historical trajectory of the Communist Party of China’s understanding of socialism, it is necessary to adhere to the basic principles of scientific socialism, adhere to the working methods of linking theory with practice, and adhere to the people-centered development principles.

中国共产党对社会主义的认识，是一个由浅入深、由表及里的过程，历届党章的修订基本反映了党对社会主义认识的演变。在民主革命时期，中国共产党从社会理想层面为实现社会主义作出了理论准备，新中国成立后在社会制度层面探索如何向社会主义过渡和建设社会主义，到改革开放后从社会本质层面开创和发展了中国特色社会主义，从而进入了中国特色社会主义新时代。在此基于对历届党章修改的考察，回顾中国共产党对社会主义认识的历史轨迹，对于更好地坚持和发展中国特色社会主义具有的重要经验启示，即要坚持科学社会主义的基本原则、坚持理论联系实际的工作方法、坚持以人民为中心的发展要旨。
