Development of a Standardized General Curriculum for Elementary Gifted Education

이 연구의 목적은 서울특별시교육청 산하 영재교육기관에서 활용할 수 있는 초등 영재 표준 교육과정을 개발하는 것이다. 이를 위해 2022 개정 교육과정과 제5차영재교육진흥종합계획을 분석하고, 국내외 영재교육 현황 및 선행 연구를 검토하여 교육과정의 방향성을 설정하였다. 또한, 전문가 대상 설문조사와 연구협력 회의를통해 교육과정의 실효성을 검토하였다. 연구 결과, 추구하는 인간상을 바탕으로 영재교육의영역으로 공통소양, 수·과융합, 수학, 과학, 융합정보의5개 영역을 설정하였고, 영역별 핵심 개념, 성취기준 및성취수준을 도출하였다. 초등 영재 표준 교육과정의 일반 핵심역량으로 창의적 문제해결력과 융합적 사고력을함양하는 데 중점을 두고, 변혁적 역량, 독립적 사고 역량, 글로벌 역량, 윤리적 역량을 포함하여 학생들이 미래 사회에서 요구하는 역량을 갖출 수 있도록 설계하였다. 이를 바탕으로 표준성과 유연성을 동시에 고려한연간 교육과정 예시를 제시하여, 영재교육기관 간 일관성을 유지하면서도 다양한 교육 현장에서 효과적으로적용할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 연구는 초등 영재교육의 질적 향상을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 데 의의가 있으며, 향후 지속적인 연구와 현장 적용을 통해 교육과정의 실효성을 높이는 노력이 필요하다.

The purpose of this study is to develop a standardized elementary gifted education curriculum that can be utilized by gifted education institutions under the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education. To achieve this, the study analyzed the 2022 revised national curriculum and the 5th Comprehensive Plan for Gifted Education. It also reviewed the current state of gifted education both domestically and internationally, along with previous research, to establish the direction of the curriculum. Additionally, the effectiveness of the curriculum was evaluated through expert surveys and collaborative research meetings. Based on the desired learner profile, five domains were identified: Common Core Competencies, Math-Science Integration, Mathematics, Science, and Convergent Information. Each domain was structured with key concepts, achievement standards, and performance levels. The curriculum prioritizes creative problem-solving skills and integrative thinking, while also fostering transformational competencies, independent thinking, global competencies, and ethical awareness to equip students for future challenges. An annual curriculum framework was designed to maintain both standardization and flexibility, ensuring consistency across institutions while allowing adaptability in various educational settings. This study provides a foundational reference for improving elementary gifted education and highlights the need for ongoing research and real-world application to enhance curriculum effectiveness.
