지식 창조 방법론에 관한 고찰: ‘지식 우주 프레임워크’와 ‘오지(誤知)’ 개념을 중심으로

A Study on the Methods of Knowledge Creation: Focusing on the “Knowledge Universe” Framework and Overcoming Erroknowledge

본 연구는 ‘체계화된 거짓 믿음’인 오지(誤知, erroknowledge)가 단순한 무지보다 인류를 더 고통스럽게 한다는 가설에서 출발한다. 이 문제에 접근하기 위해, 지식 창조 과정을 ‘지식 우주’라는 은유적 프레임워크를 통해 재검토하고, 이를 통해 네 가지 핵심 방법론을 체계화한다. 여기에는 미지의 공간에 새로운 지식(별)을 창조하는 ‘가설 설정과 논리적 증명’, 기존의 지식을 ‘통섭적으로 연결’하여 새로운 시스템을 구축하는 것, 그리고 확립된 지식의 미시적 본질을 탐구하는 ‘환원적 분석’을 포함한다. 나아가 이전까지 참으로 여겨졌던 오지를 논리적으로 증명하고 극복하는 과정 그 자체가 인식의 새로운 지평을 여는 결정적인 창조적 행위임을 주장한다. 문헌 연구, 개념 분석, 사례 연구, 은유 분석을 활용하여, 본 연구는 이러한 방법론의 개념과 상호 관계를 탐구한다. 연구 결과, 네 가지 방법론은 각각 구별되면서도 역동적이고 상호 의존적으로 작용하여 지식의 진보를 이끈다는 점이 드러났다. 본 연구는 특히 오지의 극복이 단순한 오류 수정을 초월하는 행위임을 강조한다. 즉, 그것은 “우리는 우리가 안다고 생각하는 것보다 덜 알고 있다”라는 인식론적 성찰을 제공하는, 지식 정화의 창조적 행위이다. 통합적인 지식 창조 이해의 틀을 제공함으로써, 본 연구는 연구자, 교육자, 그리고 정책 입안자들에게 실질적인 시사점을 제공하고 더 풍요로운 지식 기반 사회에 이바지하고자 한다.

This study begins with the hypothesis that erroknowledge (誤知, systematized false belief) afflicts humanity more than ignorance. To address this, the process of knowledge creation is re-examined through the metaphorical framework of a “Knowledge Universe,” which systematizes four core methodologies. These include hypothesis formulation and logical proof to create new knowledge (stars) in uncharted spaces, consilient connection of existing knowledge to build new systems, and reductive analysis to investigate the microscopic essence of established knowledge. Furthermore, this study posits that the logical proof and overcoming of erroknowledge, previously considered true, is itself a crucial creative act that opens new horizons of perception. Utilizing literature review, conceptual analysis, case studies, and metaphorical analysis, this research explores the concepts and interrelationships of these methodologies. The findings reveal that the four methodologies, while distinct, dynamically and interdependently drive the advancement of knowledge. This study particularly emphasizes that overcoming erroknowledge transcends mere error correction; it is a creative act of knowledge purification that offers the epistemological reflection: “we know less than we think we know.” By providing an integrated framework for understanding knowledge creation, this research aims to offer practical implications for researchers, educators, and policymakers, contributing to a more enriched knowledge-based society.
