텍스트마이닝을 이용한 국내 일본 애니메이션 연구 동향 분석

Text Mining-Based Analysis of Research Trends in Korean Studies

본 연구는 텍스트마이닝을 활용하여 국내 일본 애니메이션 연구의 동향을 분석한 것이다. 일본 대중문화 개방 이후 일본 애니메이션에 대한 국내 연구는 급격히 증가해 왔으나, 그 연구 동향에 대한 체계적인 분석은 미비한 실정이었다. 이에 본고는 한국학술지인용색인(KCI)에 등재된 논문 477편의 제목, 저자 키워드, 초록 데이터를 수집하여 형태소 분석과 word2vec 기법을 통해 연구 주제의 경향과 변화를 통시적으로 고찰하였다. 분석 결과, 초기 국내 연구는 미야자키 하야오 감독과 그의 작품을 중심으로 문화적, 예술적 접근이 주로 이루어졌으며, 시간이 지나면서 연구 주제의 범위가 점차 확대되었다. 특히, 서사의 구조에 대한 분석은 내러티브 및 캐릭터의 역할과 상호작용에 대한 연구로 이어졌으며, 캐릭터 분석에서는 캐릭터의 표면적 특성과 내면적 의미를 탐구하는 방향으로 발전하였다. 산업적 접근의 경우 일본 애니메이션의 시장 확장과 글로벌 콘텐츠 산업으로서의 가능성을 탐구하며 경제적, 산업적 분석이 이루어졌다. 여성성에 대한 연구는 사회적 변화와 맞물려 페미니즘적 시각과 여성 캐릭터의 주체성, 에코페미니즘적 접근 등으로 확대되었다. 자연과 인간의 관계에 대한 연구는 환경 이슈와 결합하여 인간 중심적 사고의 한계를 지적하고 자연과의 공존을 강조하는 생태학적 접근으로 발전하였다. 전쟁과 인간성에 대한 연구는 전쟁의 폭력성과 그로 인한 인간의 내면적 갈등, 윤리적 성찰을 중심으로 다루어졌다. 또한 최근 OTT 플랫폼의 성장과 함께 산업과 콘텐츠의 경제적 가치에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있으며, 일본 애니메이션이 글로벌 콘텐츠로서 어떠한 전략적 위치를 점하고 있는지 분석하는 연구가 증가하고 있다. 이러한 분석을 통해 일본 애니메이션 연구가 국내에서 다양한 주제로 발전하고 있음을 확인하였으며, 향후 연구는 다양한 작품 및 주제에 대한 다층적이고 균형 잡힌 분석이 필요함을 제안하였다. 본 연구는 일본 애니메이션 연구의 현황을 체계적으로 정리하고, 연구자들에게 연구 방향 설정에 대한 유용한 기초자료를 제공한다는 데 의의가 있다.

This study analyzes trends in domestic research on Japanese animation using text mining methods. Although domestic studies on Japanese animation have rapidly increased since the opening of Japanese popular culture, systematic analyses of research trends have been lacking. Thus, this paper collected the titles, author keywords, and abstracts of 477 articles listed in the Korea Citation Index (KCI), employing morphological analysis and word2vec techniques to longitudinally investigate changes and tendencies in research topics. The analysis revealed that early domestic research primarily focused on cultural and artistic approaches centered on director Hayao Miyazaki and his works. Over time, the scope of research topics gradually broadened. Notably, studies on narrative structures evolved into analyses of narratives and character interactions, while character studies expanded towards examining both external characteristics and internal meanings. Industry-focused research explored the market expansion of Japanese animation and its potential as a global content industry, emphasizing economic and industrial analyses. Research on femininity increasingly incorporated feminist perspectives, character agency, and eco-feminist approaches in alignment with broader social changes. Studies addressing the relationship between nature and humanity emphasized ecological approaches, challenging anthropocentric views and advocating coexistence. Research on war and humanity examined violence, internal human conflicts resulting from war, and ethical reflections. Additionally, with the recent growth of OTT platforms, studies analyzing the economic value of animation content and its strategic positioning as global content have proliferated. Through this analysis, the study confirms the diversified development of research topics on Japanese animation in Korea and suggests the necessity for multilayered and balanced analyses of various works and themes in future research. This study is significant in systematically summarizing the current state of Japanese animation research and providing foundational information useful for guiding future research directions.
