Purpose : This study aimed to explore and analyze the subjective perceptions of nurses utilizing AI agents in nursing work, with a focus on comparing and contrasting different types of these experiences. Methods : The research design of this study adopted the Q-methodology approach. The data collected were processed using the QUANL PC program. The study sample consisted of 30 nurses. The Q-sample, which was developed to investigate the experiences of nurses using AI agents in nursing, included 30 statements. After receiving an explanation of the study’s purpose and methodology, the participants agreed to complete a survey that gathered demographics information. Subsequently, they were asked to classify the 30 statements into a nine-point scale. Results : The responses were categorized into three distinct types of experiences. The first type, termed ‘Cautious AI Utilization’, recognized both the benefits and challenges associated with the use of AI in nursing work. The second type, ‘Accepting AI Utilization’, highlighted a positive outlook on the integration of AI in nursing practice. The third type, ‘Concerned AI Utilization’, expressed concerns regarding the potential risks of AI in nursing and the possible erosion of the core values of nursing care. Conclusion : These typologies provide valuable insights into the diverse perspectives of nurses regarding the role of AI in their professional practices.
