Purpose : This study aimed to identify the effect of individual transcultural self-efficacy and organizational cultural competency support on cultural competency among nurses in general hospitals. Methods : Participants were 145 nurses working at three general hospitals with fewer than 300 beds located in cities B and Y. Data were collected between June 12 and 20, 2024, with 132 valid responses included in the final statistical analysis. Data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 27.0 using descriptive statistical analysis, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. Results : Cultural competency differed significantly by marital status and showed positive correlations with both transcultural self-efficacy and organizational cultural competency support. Transcultural self-efficacy (β=.51, p<.001) and marital status (β=.26, p<.001) accounted for 32.1% of the total variance. Conclusion : Cultural competency improvement programs for nurses should consider marital status and incorporate strategies to enhance transcultural self-efficacy.
