본 연구는 온라인 강의 환경에서 외국인 유학생의 학문적 문식성 향상에 미치는 매체 효능감과 학습 실재감의 영향을 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국 대학에 재학 중인 외국인 유학생 55명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료는 기술통계 분석, 상관관계 분석, 단순 회귀분석 및 위계적 회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 매체 효능감은 학문적 문식성에 유의미한 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학습 실재감 역시 학문적 문식성에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으나 그 영향력은 비교적 낮았다. 셋째, 매체 효능감과 학습 실재감은 상호작용을 통해 학문적 문식성에 보다 강력한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 온라인 강의 환경에서 외국인 유학생의 학문적 문식성 발달을 위한 매체 효능감과 학습 실재감의 중요성을 실증적으로 입증하였다. 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 외국인 유학생 대상의 효과적인 온라인 강의 설계 및 운영 전략에 대한 실천적 함의를 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of media efficacy and learning presence on academic literacy among international students in online learning environments. Data were collected from 55 international students enrolled at Korean universities, using a questionnaire survey. Descriptive statistics, correlation analyses, simple regression analyses, and hierarchical regression analyses were conducted to analyze the data. The findings were as follows. First, media efficacy significantly and positively influenced academic literacy. Second, learning presence also had a positive effect, although its explanatory power was relatively limited. Third, the interaction between media efficacy and learning presence had a stronger positive impact on academic literacy. This study empirically confirms the importance of media efficacy and learning presence for enhancing academic literacy among international students in online learning contexts. Based on these findings, practical implications for designing and implementing effective online instructional strategies for international students are discussed.
