예비 초등교사의 실기 역량 강화를 위한 사실적 소조 수업 연구

A Study on Realistic Clay Modeling Instruction to Enhance Pre-service Elementary Teachers’ Practical Competence

본 연구는 초등 미술교육에서 사실적 입체표현 교육의 필요성을 강조하고, 예비초등교사의 실기 지도 역량 강화를 위한 단계적 소조 수업모델을 개발·적용하는 데목적이 있다. 최근 디지털 매체 중심 교육 환경 속에서 전통적 소조 수업의 비중이축소되며 아동의 사실적 재현 욕구와 교사의 실기 역량이 충분히 충족되지 못하고있다. 이에 ‘자기 손을 사실적으로 표현하기’를 주제로 부조, 부분 환조, 전체 환조로확장되는 수업을 설계하고, 2022~2024년 B교육대학교 예비교사 180명을 대상으로4주간 찰흙을 사용한 소조 실습을 실시하였다. 그 결과 학습자들은 입체 개념과비례 이해에서 성취와 한계를 동시에 보였으나, 관찰, 분석, 재현 과정을 통한단계적 접근으로 자신감과 몰입도가 향상되었다. 본 연구는 기초 조형 능력과 사실적표현 교육의 중요성을 환기하며, 예비교사의 실천적 교수 설계 역량 함양에기여한다.

This study highlights the need for realistic three-dimensional expression in elementary art education and develops a step-by-step clay modeling program to strengthen pre-service teachers’ practical competence. In the digital media-centered environment, the reduced role of traditional clay modeling has limited children’s opportunities for realistic representation and weakened teachers’ skills. To address this, the program “Realistically Representing One’s Own Hand” was designed to progress from relief to partial sculpture in the round and finally to full sculpture. Applied to 180 pre-service teachers at B University of Education between 2022 and 2024, the four-week program revealed both strengths and limitations in understanding three-dimensional concepts, while staged observation, analysis, and reproduction improved learners’ confidence and engagement. The study underscores the value of realistic expression and formative skills for enhancing instructional design competence.
