This study aims to develop a language-culture integrated project model for fourth-grade elementary school students to foster the English communicative competence pursued by the 2022 Revised National English Curriculum. To achieve the study goal, an 11-lesson project model centered on the theme of 'World Foods' was designed. The model features a five-step project flow (Preparation, Initiation, Activities, Sharing, and Wrap-up) and integrates various educational resources, including English picture books, AI-powered digital tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Canva), and a virtual international exchange. Furthermore, a competency-based rubric for the final performance task is presented. This study holds significance in providing a concrete and systematic instructional model that aligns with the achievement standards and core competencies of the new curriculum, offering a practical guide for teachers to implement language-culture integrated instruction in the elementary English classroom.
