청소년의 스마트폰 과의존, 공격성 및 주관적 행복감의 관계: 자아존중감의 조절된 매개효과를 중심으로

The Relationship between Smartphone Overdependence, Aggression and Subjective Happiness among Adolescents : Focusing on the Moderated Mediation Effects of Self-Esteem

본 연구의 목적은 스마트폰 과의존, 공격성, 주관적 행복감의 관계를 살펴보고 자아존중감의 조절된 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원이 수행한 한국아동·청소년패널의 중1 3차년도 자료를 활용하여 청소년 2,590명을 대상으로 분석을 실시하였다. SPSS 26.0을 활용하여 빈도분석, 기술통계분석 및 상관관계분석을 실시하였으며 및 PROCESS macro 4.2의 모델 7을 활용하여 조절된 매개효과를 검증하였다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 공격성은 스마트폰 과의존과 주관적 행복감의 관계를부분적으로 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자아존중감은 청소년의 스마트폰 과의존과공격성의 관계를 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 자아존중감에 따라 스마트폰 과의존,공격성 및 주관적 행복감의 관계 수준이 달라지는 결과를 보였다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 청소년의 자아존중감과 행복 수준을 높이고 공격성 및 스마트폰 과의존을 예방 및 개입하기 위한 실천적, 정책적 방안을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to verify the mediating effects of aggressionand the moderated mediation effects of self-esteem in the effect of smartphone overdependence on subjective happiness. Using data from the 2018 Korean Childrenand Youth Panel Survey, the sample comprised 2,590 middle school students. Frequency analysis, descriptive statistics and correlation analysis were performedusing SPSS 26.0 version, and moderated mediation effects were analyzed usingSPSS PROCESS macro version 4.2 version model 7. Main results are as follows. First, it was found that aggression had a partial mediating effect in the relationbetween adolescents’s smartphone overdependence and subjective happiness. Second, the result showed that self-esteem played a moderating role in therelations between adolescents’s smartphone overdependence and aggression. Third,the way of adolescents' subjective happiness's being weakened was differentdepending on the level of self-esteem when adolescents' smartphoneoverdependence mediated aggression. Based on these results, this study discussedpractical measures to improve self-esteem and happiness, and to managesmartphone overdependence and aggression among adolescents.
