웹툰 전공자의 표준현장실습학기제 참여 경험이진로 정체성 형성에 미치는 영향

A Study on the Influence of Standardized Field Training on the Career Identity of Webtoon Majors

본 연구는 웹툰 전공 졸업생 5명을 대상으로 반구조화 심층 인터뷰를 실시하고,Moustakas(1994)의 현상학적 분석 절차를 준용하여 자료를 분석하여 웹툰 전공자의 표준현장실습학기제 참여 경험이 진로 인식, 직업 정체성, 창작 태도, 그리고 졸업 후 전공 및진로 인식 재구성에 미치는 영향을 탐색하고자 하였다. 그 결과 다섯 가지 주제를 도출하였는데, 참여자들은 첫째, 실습을 통한 장시간 노동과 협업 구조를 체감하며 산업의 현실을 인식하였다. 둘째, 작가 및 편집자의 피드백이 기술적 성장 및 정서적 지지, 동기 부여에 도움을 준 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 참여자들은 자신에게 적합한 직무를 재인식하고, 작가 중심의 관점에서 팀 기반 역할 인식으로 전환한 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 작업 효율과협업 능력, 피드백 수용 태도가 강화되었다. 다섯째, 실습 경험은 포트폴리오 활용과 직무적응으로 이어지며 졸업 후 진로 인식 재구성에 기여하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 웹툰 전공자를 대상으로 한 표준현장실습학기제 질적 연구라는 점에서 학문적의의를 지니며, 웹툰 교육 현장의 실습 프로그램 개선에 기초 자료를 제공할 것이다. 그러나 소규모 사례와 단일 기관에 국한되었다는 한계가 있으며, 향후에는 표본 확대, 혼합연구 설계, 산업 변화 반영, 장기 종단 연구 등이 필요하다고 판단된다.

This study conducted semi-structured, in-depth interviews with five graduates majoring in webtoon and analyzed the data by applying Moustakas’(1994) phenomenological analysis procedure. The purpose was to explore howparticipation in a standardized field training semester influenced their careerawareness, professional identity, creative attitudes, and the reconfiguration of theircareer and major perceptions after graduation. The analysis yielded five key themes. First, participants recognized the realities of the industry by experiencing longworking hours and collaborative structures during the training. Second, feedbackfrom writers and editors contributed to technical growth, emotional support, andmotivation. Third, participants re-identified roles suitable for themselves and shiftedfrom a writer-centered perspective to a team-based role recognition. Fourth, workefficiency, collaboration skills, and the acceptance of feedback were enhanced. Fifth, the training experience contributed to the reconfiguration of career perceptionsafter graduation through portfolio utilization and job adaptation. This study holds academic significance as one of the first qualitative inquiries intostandardized field training among webtoon majors and provides foundational datafor improving internship programs in webtoon education. However, it is limited byits small sample size and confinement to a single institution. Future research shouldexpand the sample, adopt mixed-method designs, reflect industrial changes, andconduct long-term longitudinal studies.
