시설아동의 문제행동에 대한 기능평가 기반 행동중재 효과: 단일사례연구

The Effects of Functional Assessment-Based Behavioral Intervention on Problem Behaviors for Children Facilities: Single Case Study

본 연구는 기능평가 기반 행동중재가 시설아동의 문제행동에 미치는 효과를 알아보는 것이다. 연구대상은 초등학교에 재학 중인 남자 아동으로 태어나면서부터 아동시설에서 자라고 있으며, 문제행동이 빈번하게 나타나 시설의 원장님이 의뢰를 하였다. 본 연구는 대상 아동에 대한체계적인 기능평가에 근거하여 문제행동의 기능을 파악하고 배경 및 선행사건 중재, 대체행동 중재, 후속결과 중재를 포함한 다요소 중재를 실시하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기능평가기반 행동중재는 시설아동의 문제행동에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 기능평가 기반 행동중재는 바람직한 행동증가에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 셋째, 기능평가 기반 행동중재는 K-CBCL 사전·사후 변화에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 본 연구는 기능평가를 통해 문제행동의 기능을 명확히파악하고 이에 맞는 중재를 적용함으로써 시설아동의 문제행동 예방과 중재에 효과적인 전략임을입증하였다는데 그 의의가 있다.

This study aims to examine the effects of functional assessment-based behavioralintervention on problem behaviors of children in facilities. The subject of the study was aboy attending elementary school who had been living in a child care facility since birth andwhose problem behaviors frequently appeared, so the director of the facility requested theintervention. This study identified the functions of problem behaviors based on a systematicfunctional assessment of the target child and implemented multifactorial interventionsincluding background and antecedent event interventions, alternative behavior interventions,and follow-up outcome interventions. The results are as follows. First, functionalassessment-based behavioral interventions had a positive effect on problem behaviors ofchildren in facilities. Second, functional assessment-based behavioral interventions had apositive effect on increasing desirable behaviors. Third, functional assessment-basedbehavioral interventions had a positive effect on K-CBCL pre-post changes. Thesignificance of this study lies in the fact that it proves that clearly identifying the functionsof problem behaviors through functional assessment and applying appropriate interventionsis an effective strategy for preventing and intervening problem behaviors of children infacilities.
