The Impact of Professional Expertise on Job Satisfaction and Performance in the Beauty Industry

This study aimed to investigate the impact of professional expertise on job satisfaction and job performance among workers in the beauty industry, with the goal of providing foundational data for the development of effective human resource management strategies within the sector. To achieve this, a survey was conducted with 300 beauty professionals across the country, and 278 valid responses were used in the final analysis after excluding incomplete or inconsistent entries. The data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0, incorporating validity and reliability testing, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The results showed that professional expertise had a significant positive effect on both job satisfaction and job performance. Additionally, job satisfaction was found to have a meaningful impact on job performance. Among the components of professional expertise, service belief, reference group utilization, sense of calling, and autonomy were identified as particularly influential factors. These findings suggest that a positive perception of one’s role and its inherent value can lead to improved job outcomes. This study demonstrates the importance of enhancing professional expertise and fostering job satisfaction to ensure sustainable competitiveness in the rapidly evolving beauty industry. Future research should include broader demographic and organizational variables to deepen understanding and practical applicability.
