Analysis of Blusher Patterns Using Golden Mask Patterns and K-Pop Girl Group Blusher Makeup Styles

This study examines the facial images of K-Pop girl groups to identify the visual characteristics of blusher in contemporary makeup trends. Using the “Golden Mask” frame, images were layered to analyze blusher placement. The results revealed that blush applied below the eyes and along the upper cheekbones differs from traditional cheek-centered blusher styles. This placement effectively creates a lifted, more vibrant appearance, contributing to a smaller and more dimensional face while enhancing a youthful, sophisticated image. A strong alignment with the Golden Mask ratio was observed, linking these blusher patterns to broader standards of beauty. By interpreting the visual language of modern beauty trends through the global cultural phenomenon of K-Pop, this study reexamines both the functional and aesthetic roles of makeup design. These findings provide foundational insights for the beauty industry, AI-based facial analysis, and the development of customized makeup designs, while also offering a meaningful methodology for future cross-cultural studies on aesthetic standards.
