This study aimed to empirically investigate the mediating effect of grit in the relationship between self-management and turnover intention among beauty professionals. A total of 341 professionals working in beauty salons nationwide, including those specializing in hair, skincare, makeup, and nail art, participated in the study. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS 26.0 through descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, structural equation modeling, and bootstrapping for mediation testing. The key findings are as follows: First, self-management had a statistically significant positive effect on grit. Second, self-management did not show a significant direct association with turnover intention. Third, grit had a significant negative effect on turnover intention. Fourth, grit exhibited a significant indirect effect between self-management and turnover intention, indicating a full mediating effect. These findings demonstrate the importance of developing and implementing human resource training programs that foster grit through self-management practices, as a strategy to reduce turnover intention among beauty professionals.
