This study aims to reinterpret the Rococo era’s representative upstyles—Madame du Barry and Pouf hairstyles—through the paper sculpture technique and to explore their formative possibilities in contemporary hair art. Using qualitative methods combining literature review and practice-based creation, four sculptural works were developed: Emily, Amelia, Audrey, and Kennedy. Each piece embodies formative characteristics such as decoration, symbolism, exaggeration, and playfulness, realized through the use of paper sculpture methods, including cutting, layering, coiling, bending, and folding. The findings highlight the potential of paper as a sculptural medium for expressive, symbolic hair design, and confirm the value of integrating classic aesthetic codes with modern creative techniques. This research contributes to broadening the artistic scope of beauty design while suggesting a innovative creative approach that merges materials, eras, and techniques.
