A Study on the International Tourism Cultural Experience of University Students Using Livermore's Cultural Intelligence: Based on Phenomenological Approaches

The purpose of this study is to identify the cultural intelligence(CQ) that represents the adaptability of culture to university students, and to analyze how they perceive cultural experiences in international tourism based on phenomenological research methods. As a result of the study, it was classified into three types as ‘1 type–recognition of exchange and communication and cultural difference by other cultural interests’, ‘2 type–pursuit of various experiences by cultural understanding and acceptance and value of life’, ‘3 type–Strengthening cultural learning and insight by cultural adaptability and flexibility‘. Through this study, it was confirmed that international tourists with high cultural intelligence showed a little more active international tourism culture experience and showed efforts to positively accept and understand various cultures seen in international tourism. However, it is necessary to further discuss whether international tourists who are at a higher level of cultural intelligence can pursue or recognize a higher level of international tourism cultural experience and the relationship between cultural intelligence and international tourism cultural experience.
