목적: 이 연구는 생성형 AI와의 프롬프트 기반 상호작용을 리터러시 문제로 조망하여, 프롬프트 리터러시 실천 요소를 규명하고 교육적 시사점을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 방법: 프롬프트 리터러시의 개념과 구인을 다룬 선행 연구를 검토하고, 인간-생성형 AI 상호작용의 언어·의사소통적 함의를 분석한다. 인간-AI 소통의 중층적 맥락을 다루기 위한 개념적 틀로 ‘맥락통일적 의미 구성’을 제시하고, 이를 토대로 프롬프트 리터러시의 개념과 실천 요소를 제시한다. 결론: 프롬프트 리터러시는 ‘AI와의 상호작용에서 목적에 따라 소통의 맥락을 능동적·윤리적으로 공동 구성하는 맥락통일적 의미 구성 역량’이며, 실천 요소는 맥락 구성(맥락 틀 짓기, 맥락 정교화하기), 맥락 해석과 성찰(맥락 평가하기, 맥락 점검하기), 자기화 및 활용(맥락 적용 및 확장하기)의 차원으로 구성된다. 이는 사회·문화·기술적으로 확장될 미래 리터러시 역량으로서 중요한 함의를 지닌다.
Purpose: This study views prompt-based interaction with generative AI as a literacy issue, aiming to identify the elements of prompt literacy practice and suggest implications for literacy education. Methods: It reviews prior research on the concept and constructs of prompt literacy and analyzes the linguistic and communicative implications of human-AI interaction. Using contexerence- based meaning-making as a conceptual framework for addressing the multilayered contexts of human–AI communication, we define prompt literacy and outline its elements of practice. Results: Prompt literacy is defined as the Contexerence-based meaning-making competence to actively and ethically co-construct communication contexts in AI interaction. Its elements comprise three dimensions: context construction (contextual framing, contextual elaboration), context interpretation and reflection (contextual evaluation, contextual monitoring), and personalization and application (contextual application and expansion). This competence holds significant implications as a future literacy capacity across social, cultural, and technological domains.
