목적: 본 연구는 진단평가 이전에 특정 수험자군을 선별하기 위한 목적으로 시행하는 한국어 선별검사를 외국인 학부 신입생에게 실제 적용할 수 있는 방안을 논의하는 데 목적이 있다. 방법: 이 연구는 한윤정(2021a)에서 개발된 선별검사 과제를 일부 수정하여 예비 검사를 실시한 사례 연구이다. 예비 검사 결과를 분석하고 이를 토대로 적용 시사점을 도출하였다. 결과: 2024년 두 학기 동안 총 106명이 응시하였다. 문항분석을 통해 문항 특성을 검토하였으며 응시자 정보와 검사 결과의 상관관계 분석을 바탕으로 피드백 방안을 논의하였다. 결론: 본 연구에서는 외국인 유학생 대상 한국어 선별검사를 특정 기관에 적용하였다. 이 연구는 문항 세트를 검토하고 현장 적용 가능성을 검토한 데 의의가 있다.
Purpose: This study aims to explore methods for implementing a Korean Language Screening—conducted to identify specific groups of examinees prior to a full-scale diagnostic assessment—for international undergraduate freshmen. Methods: This is a case study in which a pilot test was conducted using a modified version of the screening test tasks developed by Han (2021). The pilot test results were analyzed to derive implications for practical application. Results: A total of 106 students took the pilot test over two semesters in 2024. The test items were examined through item analysis, and feedback strategies were discussed based on the correlation between applicants’ background information and their test results. Conclusion: This study applied a Korean Language Screening for international students within a specific institution. Its significance lies in reviewing the test item set and identifying practical points for field application.
