Challenges and Solutions for Transmitting and Preserving Contemporary Chinese Lacquerware Craftsmanship

中国当代漆器工艺传承与保护困境及对策研究

[Background] As an essential part of traditional Chinese arts and crafts, lacquerware has been profoundly affected by industrialization and changing social lifestyles since the twentieth century. Its production mechanisms, transmission models, and aesthetic contexts have been severely disrupted, leading to challenges such as the aging of inheritors, the absence of training systems, limited market access, and declining social recognition. [Objective] This study adopts a systemic construction perspective to examine the core issues in the inheritance and preservation of contemporary Chinese lacquerware craftsmanship and to explore feasible institutional strategies. [Method] The study finds that the inheritance and preservation of contemporary Chinese lacquerware craftsmanship are hindered by fragmented policy implementation, insufficient educational support, and inefficient multi-actor collaboration. [Results] The inheritance and preservation of contemporary Chinese lacquerware should shift from a project-based to a platform-based model, establishing a collaborative mechanism that engages government, inheritors, educational institutions, enterprises, and the public to ensure the sustainable transmission and contemporary expression of lacquerware craftsmanship.

【背景】漆器作为中国传统工艺美术的重要组成部分，自20 世纪以来，随着工业化和社会生活方式的变迁，传统漆器工艺在生产机制、传承模式与审美语境方面受到严重冲击，当下面临传承人老龄化、培养体系缺位、市场渠道受限与社会认同弱化等困境。 【目的】本文旨在从系统建构视角出发，分析中国当代漆器工艺传承与保护的核心问题，探讨可行的制度化应对策略。 【方法】研究方法综合运用文献分析、田野调查、案例研究与比较研究：通过系统梳理政策与学术文献，开展典型企业调研，并借鉴日本“人间国宝制度”等国际经验。 【结果】研究发现，中国当代漆器工艺的传承保护存在政策执行碎片化、教育体系支撑不足、多元主体协同效率低等问题。 【结论】中国当代漆器的传承与保护应由项目制向平台制转型，构建政府、传承人、教育机构、企业与公众多元参与的协同机制，以实现漆器工艺的可持续传承与当代表达。
