The Communist Party of China’s Thought on People’s Health: Generative Logic, Fundamental Connotation, and Contemporary Innovation

Since its founding, the Communist Party of China has set “people’s health” as its goal, and in the great practice of leading China’s revolution, construction, and reform, it has formed a unique health thought of “taking people’s health as the center.” In the long practice of revolution, construction and reform, the Communist Party of China has inherited and developed the thoughts of classic Marxist writers and previous leading groups of the Communist Party of China on people’s health, and nurtured and formed the Party’s thoughts on people’s health in the new era. The idea of people’s health has been raised to an unprecedented height, which is the basic guide for promoting the development of medical treatment and health in the new era.

中国共产党自诞生起就以保障人民健康为己任，形成了独具特色的以人民健康为中心的健康思想。中国共产党在长期的革命、建设、改革实践中，继承和发展了马克思主义经典作家和中国共产党历届领导集体关于人民健康的思想，孕育形成了新时代党的人民健康思想。尤其在党的十八大以来，以习近平同志为核心的党中央以人民至上、生命至上的价值追求为核心要义，以“大卫生、大健康”为基本理念，聚焦国内、关注国外，以坚持全民共建共享为实现路径。把人民健康思想提到了前所未有的高度，是新时代我国推进医疗卫生与健康事业发展的根本指南。
