This study aims to analyze the color compositions used in posters of Korean original content and their Vietnamese remakes, in order to interpret emotional differences and cultural receptivity, and to propose emotional strategies applicable to future remake content planning. A total of five pairs of content (Korean and Vietnamese versions) were selected. Representative colors were extracted using K-means clustering (n=5) and converted into HSV (Hue, Saturation, Value) and CIELAB color spaces for quantitative analysis. The results show that Korean posters are characterized by high saturation and strong color contrast, conveying direct emotional expressions and emphasizing dramatic tension. In contrast, Vietnamese remake posters primarily use high-lightness and low-saturation colors, which promote emotional calmness and empathy. By applying the PAD (Pleasure, Arousal, and Dominance) emotion model proposed by Valdez and Mehrabian, this study systematically compares inter-cultural emotional codes and provides a practical foundation for developing visual emotional strategies for remake content.
