베트남 한국어 학습자의 면담 수행에 나타난 질문 양상 연구

Question patterns of Vietnamese Korean learners in interviews

본 연구는 베트남 중급 한국어 학습자가 한국인을 대상으로 면담을 수행할 때 나타나는 질문 양상과 이들이 경험하는 면담의 어려움을 분석한 후 한국어 학습자의 면담 개선 방안을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 베트남 A대학교 한국어문화학과 통역 수업의 팀 과제로 실제 면담 사례를 수집하고, 질문 유형, 오류 양상, 면담 구조 등을 중심으로 학습자의 면담 수행을 심층적으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 학습자들은 주로 정보 중심의 질문에 치중하는 것으로 나타났으며, 면담의 흐름이나 대화 맥락을 고려한 공감 표현이나 앞뒤 화제의 연결성 면에서 미흡한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 그들은 면담 진행 과정에서 전략적 표현이나 사회문화적 배경에 대한 이해가 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로, 본 연구는 언어적･관계적･문화적 요소를 반영한 교육적 제언을 제시하여 학습자의 의사소통 능력과 문화 이해 능력 향상에 기여하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 향후 베트남어-한국어 통번역 교육 및 실용 한국어교육 현장에서 면담 중심 수업을 설계하고 운영하는 데 유용한 연구자료라는 점에서 의의가 있다.

With the aim of proposing pedagogical strategies to enhance interview performance, this study investigates the questioning strategies and challenges encountered by intermediate-level Vietnamese learners of Korean during interviews with native Korean speakers. The study draws on authentic interview data collected from a team-based interpretation course at University A’s Department of Korean Language and Culture. A qualitative analysis was conducted to examine the learners’ discourse practices, focusing on question types, error patterns, and interview structure. The learners primarily relied on fact-based questions, and demonstrated limited ability to express empathy or maintain coherence and continuity in conversational flow. In addition, a lack of strategic communication skills and insufficient awareness of sociocultural context were observed during the interview. Accordingly, aiming to improve learners’ communicative competence and intercultural understanding, this study presents pedagogical implications that integrate linguistic, interpersonal, and cultural dimensions. Furthermore, this study contributes valuable insights for the design and implementation of interview-based instruction in Vietnamese–Korean interpretation training and practical Korean language education.
