The article presents the development of a virtual educational excursion in Russian as a Foreign Language classes in a Korean audience (levels A2-B1) aimed at developing linguistic, cultural, communicative, and sociocultural competencies in an environment without a Russian-speaking community. The study explores the didactic potential of virtual educational excursions and analyzes the theoretical and methodological aspects of their implementation in the learning process. A comparative table of the advantages and disadvantages of virtual classroom-based and traditional extracurricular excursions is included. The methodological development details all stages of preparation and conduct of the virtual educational excursion “Moscow. Red Square.” The theoretical significance of the work lies in investigating the possibilities of utilizing internet resources and information-communication technologies for intercultural and lingvocultural education. The article justifies the effectiveness of virtual educational excursions as an innovative form of classroom-based Russian language instruction, capable of integrating visual and audiovisual tools to develop linguacultural and country-specific competencies among students. This approach promotes a more effective immersion into the culture of the studied language and the development of communicative skills.
