Background: The endoscopic transorbital approach (ETO) has emerged over the past decade as a minimally invasive alternative for accessing the anterior and middle cranial fossa. Despite the growing use of this technique, a bibliometric analysis is still lacking. To analyze the evolution, global contributions, and research trends of the ETO using a bibliometric framework. Materials and Methods: A search of the Scopus database was performed using the terms “Endoscopic” AND (“Transorbital” OR “Transorbitary”) for articles published from September 2010 to June 2025. A total of 445 articles were analyzed using the Bibliometrix package in R (via Biblioshiny) and VOSviewer. Results: We identified a consistent increase in the number of publications per year, with notable contributions from the United States, Italy, and South Korea. Leading authors included Dr. Di Somma, Dr. Enseñat, and Dr. Kong. Most articles were published in “Operative Neurosurgery.” Keyword co-occurrence analysis highlighted key themes such as “skull base surgery,” “endoscopic approaches,” and “minimally invasive neurosurgery.” Conclusions: The ETO approach has rapidly gained scholarly attention, particularly in highvolume skull base centers. This bibliometric analysis revealed key contributors and evolving research trends, providing a foundation for future clinical and anatomical innovations.
