This study explores the integration of the Production-Oriented Approach (POA) and the blended learning model in the instructional design of a college English public speaking course. It first conducts a systematic review of the POA theoretical framework and its applications in foreign language teaching, while elaborating on the advantages and characteristics of blended learning. On this basis, a blended teaching model is constructed—centered on teacher-student interaction, aligned with the POA “Motivating–Enabling–Assessing” procedure, and covering the “pre-class, in-class, post-class” phases. Furthermore, taking the “Supporting Your Ideas” unit as a case, the study details the model’s teaching plan, including teaching content, target students, learning objectives, and specific teaching procedures. This model effectively integrates the flexibility of online self-directed learning with the depth of offline interactive teaching, stimulates students’ learning initiative, and facilitates their progression from lower-order cognitive skills to higher-order competencies. It thereby provides valuable practical reference for the teaching of English public speaking courses.
本文旨在探讨将“产出导向法”(POA)理论与混合式学习模式相融合,应用于英语演讲课程的教学设计。本文首先系统梳理了POA 理论体系及其在外语教学中的应用,并阐述了混合式学习的优势与特征。在此基础上,构建了以“教师—学生”互动为核心,遵循POA“驱动—促成—评价”教学流程,并贯穿“课前—课中—课后”三阶段的混合式教学模式。进而,以“论证材料”单元为例,详细展示了该模式的具体教学实施方案,涵盖教学内容、教学对象、教学目标及详细教学流程。该教学模式能够有效整合线上自主学习的灵活性与线下互动教学的深度,激发学生学习主动性,促进其从语言知识理解到演讲实践应用与创造的高阶思维发展,为英语演讲课程教学提供具有参考价值的实践路径。
