한국인 예비 통역사의 아랍어 낭독 발화에 나타난 발음 오류 양상 연구

A Study on Pronunciation Errors in Arabic Read-Aloud Speech of Korean Student Interpreters

본 연구는 4년에 걸쳐 한국인 예비 통역사의 연설문 낭독 발화 41건을 수집하여 발음 오류를 분석하고, 11명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 총 237건의 발음 오류 중 198건이 모음 오류였으며, 가장 빈번한 오류는 장모음의 단모음화였다. 특히 مفاعيل형 복수 명사, 여성 규칙 복수 명사, 대거 알리프 형태에서 오류가 집중되었다. 설문조사 결과에 따르면, 예비 통역사들이 자유 발화와 통역 발화에서도 모음(장모음과 단모음의 구분)을 가장 어려운 발음 요소로 인식하였으며, 발음의 어려움은 체계적인 발음 교육과 원어민과의 상호작용 기회 부족에서 비롯된 것으로 나타났다.

This study analyzed pronunciation errors in 41 read-aloud speeches delivered by Korean student interpreters over four years and conducted a survey with 11 Korean student interpreters. The analysis identified 237 pronunciation errors in total, 198 of which were vowel-related, with the most frequent error being the shortening of long vowels. These errors were concentrated in plural nouns of the مفاعيل pattern, feminine regular plurals, and forms containing the dagger alif. The survey indicated that participants perceived distinguishing between long and short vowels as the most difficult aspect of pronunciation in both spontaneous and interpreted speech. These difficulties were attributed to a lack of systematic pronunciation instruction and limited opportunities for interaction with native speakers.
