Purpose: This study explores the ethical considerations in psychological research within workplace settings, emphasizing the need to balance scientific rigor with human dignity. The workplace provides a valuable context for understanding employee behavior, motivation, and well-being. Research design, data, and methodology: A systematic literature review was conducted using PRISMA guidelines, focusing on informed consent, confidentiality, risk assessment, and justice. Recent studies highlight the power of asymmetrical relationship between employees and employers that may influence voluntary participation. Furthermore, the increasing reliance on digital data, AI-driven monitoring, and cross-border research intensifies the ethical complexity. Results: Findings reveal that informed consent should move beyond static agreements toward dynamic and multi-stage processes. Confidentiality must be reinforced through both technical safeguards, such as encryption, and organizational policies that define clear access boundaries. Comprehensive risk assessment, inclusive of employee input, helps to reduce psychological and social harm. Conclusions: The study concludes that ethical psychological research in the workplace demands a holistic framework. Practitioners and HR professionals must adopt standardized consent protocols, enhance confidentiality, and implement inclusive recruitment strategies. Regular ethical training and participatory approaches are recommended to ensure that employees are empowered and protected. Ultimately, promoting human dignity while upholding scientific standards fosters both reliable research outcomes and healthier organizational cultures.
