Purpose – This research aims to derive strategies to revitalize green shipping corridors by conducting a comparative analysis of major ports, including Busan, Seattle–Tacoma, Shanghai, Los Angeles, Singapore, and Rotterdam, using Quantitative SWOT analysis. Design/Methodology/Approach – After identifying factors related to green shipping corridors through a review of previous studies, this study calculated the weights of these factors using Fuzzy-AHP based on survey data, and determined the position of each port through Quantitative SWOT analysis. Findings – This study employed the Fuzzy-AHP and Quantitative SWOT analysis to derive the relative importance of green shipping corridor promotion factors and, based on these results, diagnosed the competitiveness of major global ports. The analysis revealed that, among internal factors, bunkering infrastructure (0.267), eco-friendly ship introduction (0.219), and OPS facilities (0.191) were identified as the most critical drivers. For external factors, fuel price fluctuations (0.242), laws, institutions and standards (0.207), and government support and policies (0.177) emerged as key determinants. Furthermore, the coordinate diagram analysis indicated that the ports of Singapore (0.141, 0.093) and Rotterdam (0.106, 0.108) demonstrated relatively competitive positions, while Busan (–0.009, –0.062), Seattle–Tacoma (–0.101, –0.041), Shanghai (–0.105, –0.053), and Los Angeles (–0.033, –0.045) were located in less favorable quadrants, suggesting the urgent need for tailored strategies to enhance competitiveness in the green shipping corridor landscape. Research Implications – Strengthening global port competitiveness requires tailored strategies that consider the unique characteristics of each port. Beyond applying generic measures, a port must develop and implement customized promotion plans to address its specific weaknesses and maximize its strengths. This approach is essential to achieving substantial and sustainable growth.
