In the context of late modern society, social acceleration no longer seems to be regarded as an emancipatory force, but rather alienated as a barrier that prevents people from reaching the good life. Rosa, a representative of the fourth generation of the Frankfurt School, takes the modern time structure as the logical starting point, focuses on the core issue of the good life, and systematically analyzes, diagnoses, and treats the late modern society, thus constructing a critical view of the good life. Specifically, by critically analyzing the phenomenon of social acceleration and its driving mechanism, Rosa defines late modern society as an “accelerated society” under the domination of the logic of acceleration. On this basis, Rosa accurately diagnoses the triple crises of “autonomy deviation,” “desynchronization,” and “neo-alienation” in accelerated society. In response to these dilemmas, Rosa believes that only through the therapeutic programs of “post-growth society” and “resonance” can we transcend the accelerated society and move towards the good life. In the process of accelerating China’s modernization, Rosa’s critical view of the good life provides us with important insights into the construction of the good life in the three dimensions of the system, society, and the individual.
法兰克福学派第四代代表人物罗萨以现代时间结构为逻辑起点,紧扣美好生活核心议题,系统展开对晚期现代社会的分析、诊断与治疗,进而构建起批判性的美好生活观。具体而言,罗萨通过批判分析社会加速现象及其驱动机制,将晚期现代社会界定为加速逻辑支配下“加速社会”。在此基础上,精准诊断出加速社会存在“自主性背离”“去同步化”及“新异化”三重危机。针对这些困境,罗萨认为只有通过“后增长社会”和“共鸣”这种治疗方案,才能超越加速社会,迈向美好生活。在加速推进中国式现代化建设进程中,罗萨的批判性美好生活观对我们从制度、社会、个体三个维度构筑美好生活提供了重要启示。
