Reconsideration of Della Volpe’s Interpretation of the Relationship Between Rousseau and Marx

Starting from the issue of human inequality, Delacroix explores the continuity of ideas between Rousseau and Marx, and argues that Marx inherited and developed Rousseau’s anti flattening egalitarian ideas at a new historical level. Although this theory may have been a misjudgment due to excessive hostility towards Hegelianism, the “wo Souls” theory developed on this basis-emphasizing the restoration and renewal of socialist democracy over capitalist democracy, and believing that communism should have the qualification and right to inherit the legacy of modern democracy-undoubtedly has significant implications for understanding socialism and capitalist democracy, and further, for re understanding Marx.
