본고는 '小心別+VP'의 잉여부정표현 현상에 대해 살펴보았다. 우선 '小心別+VP'를 의미 분석함에 있어 주로 기존 학자들이 제시하였던 구문 제약, VP성분의 의미특징에 따른 제약이 잉여부적 표현 현상과 어떠한 연관성을 가지고 있는지를 서술하면서 비판적인 관점에서 의미분석을 시도하였다.
This paper aims to demonstrate the use of ‘xiaoxin bie shuaijiao’, subsection of ‘xiaoxin2bie2+VP’’, in its semantic and pragmatic mechanism. “xiaoxin2” itself contains the meaning of implicit negation such as “Watch out! Be careful!”. Though “bie2” is usually categorized as a negativity adverb, for this specific sentence type, we treat it as a redundant negativity ingredient due to its loss of function in negativity adverb. First of all, we conducted the semantic analysis based on the literature review of “xiaoxin(bie)+VP”. Next, we further discussed the possible mechanisms to explain such phenomenon (frequent use of redundant negation in spoken language). Overall, our paper mainly focuses on the investigation in redundant negation from the perspective of cognitive linguistics.
