본고는 공립초등학교의 중국어 교육과정을 설계한 것으로, 현재 우리나라의 국가 수준 교육과정 초등학교급에는 중국어 교육이 포함되어 있지 않다. 그러나 2000년대 이후 어린이 중국어 교육에 대한 수요는 계속 증가하고 있다. 사립초등학교에서는 자율적으로 중국어를 교과목으로 편성할 수 있고, 최근 공립초등학교 중 중국어 연구학교를 운영한 사례도 있으며, 초등학교 교사 중 실험적으로 중국어를 정규 수업에 적용하여 가르치려는 움직임이 있다. 이러한 시대적 변화를 고려하여 이제는 중국어를 학교 시스템 내에 도입할 수 있는 방법을 연구해야 할 시기라 할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 초등학교 중국어 교육과정을 설계하였다. 본 연구에서는 초등학교 중국어의 성격 및 목표를 제시하고, 도입 학년을 설정하였으며, 중국어 시수 편성 방안을 제시하였다. 또한 내용 체계와 성취기준을 설계하여 초등학교 중국어 교육과정의 기틀을 마련하고자 하였다. 다만 본 연구는 초등학교 중국어 교육과정 설계의 본격적인 시작 단계이므로 중국어 교육의 도입 시작 학년을 중심으로 성취기준을 제시하였다.
This study designs a Chinese language teaching curriculum in public elementary schools. Currently, the national-level curriculum does not include Chinese language education in elementary schools. However, since the 2000’s, the demand for children's Chinese teaching has been increasing. For example, in private elementary schools, Chinese can be autonomously organized as a subject. Some public elementary schools operated ‘Chinese research schools’, and some elementary school teachers tried to apply the Chinese language in a regular class format in a trial. Considering these changes, it is time to study how to introduce Chinese into the elementary school system. Given this, this study designed the Chinese language curriculum in elementary school. Therefore, this study presents the characteristics and goals of Chinese in elementary school, sets the introduction grade, and shows a plan to organize the number of Chinese hours. It also designed content systems and achievement standards. Through this, this study contributes to laying out the foundation for the Chinese language curriculum in elementary school. However, since this study is the full-fledged beginning stage of designing the Chinese curriculum in elementary schools, the presented achievement standards focus on the first grade of introduction to Chinese education.
