중국어 형태소에 관한 교육적 고찰

A Study on the Education of Chinese Morphemes

한 언어의 문법 규칙을 설명하기 위해서는 문장을 구성하는 데 있어 가장 기본단위가 되는 단어(word, 词)에 대한 개념을 명확히 이해하는 것은 매우 중요한 문제이다. 그리고 단어의 개념을 명확히 이해하기 위해서는 형태소(morpheme, 语素/词素)에 대한 설명 또한 빼놓을 수 없다. 따라서 대다수 문법서에서는 단어의 구조(word structure)와 관련된 부문에 단어를 구성하는 형태소의 개념 및 종류, 단어의 정의와 단어 형성 방법에 관한 설명이 포함되어 있다. 하지만 기존의 문법서에서 제시하고 있는 기술만으로는 중국어의 형태소의 개념을 정확히 이해하기 어렵고 자립형태소와 의존형태소, 합성어와 파생어를 구분하기도 쉽지 않다. 심지어 문법서들마다 제시하고 있는 기술들이 조금씩 달라서 중국어를 배우는 학습자뿐만 아니라 지도하는 교사들조차도 혼란스러움을 느끼게 된다. 본 고에서는 형태소에 대한 개념 이해 및 형태소 분석의 과정에서 부딪히게 되는 문제점들을 교육적 관점에서 고찰해 보고, 중국어 교육 현장에서 형태소와 관련된 내용을 가르칠 때 실질적인 도움이 될 수 있는 교육 방안을 다음과 같이 제시하였다. 첫째, 단어 내적 구조와 단어 외적 구조를 구분하도록 지도한다. 둘째, 내용어(content word, 实词)를 중심으로 형태소 분석을 지도한다. 셋째, 형태소와 관련된 용어들의 개념을 명확히 설명한다. 넷째, 어근과 준접사, 접사의 개념을 통해 복합어를 분류한다.

To explain the grammatical rules of a language, it is very important to clearly understand the concept of a word (词), which is the most basic unit in constructing a sentence. And to clearly understand the concept of a word, the explanation of morpheme (语素/词素) cannot be left out. Therefore, in most grammar books, the concept and types of morpheme constituting words, definitions of words, and explanations on how to form words are included in the section related to word structure. However, it is difficult to accurately understand the concept of Chinese morpheme only with the descriptions presented in existing grammar books, and it is also not easy to distinguish between free morpheme and bound morpheme, compound word and derivative word. Even the descriptions presented in each grammar book are slightly different, which confuses not only learners learning Chinese but also teachers teaching them. This paper examines the problems encountered in the process of understanding the concept of morpheme and analyzing morpheme from an educational perspective, and presented the following educational methods that can be of practical help when teaching contents related to morpheme in the Chinese education field. First, you need to instruct students to distinguish between intra-word structure and extra-word structure. Second, you need to instruct morpheme analysis centered on content words(实词). Third, you need to clarify the concept of terms related to morpheme. Fourth, you need to classify compound words through the concepts of root, quasi-affix, and affix.
