본 연구는 형태소‘嚴’을 구성요소로 하는 합성어 중 ‘엄하다’라는 공통 의미를 갖는 형용사 ‘嚴格-嚴緊-嚴峻-嚴苛-嚴酷-嚴厲-嚴肅’를 北京語言大學 BCC 코퍼스에서 출력되는 여러 가지 빈도 지표를 분석하여 형태·화용·통사·의미적 특징을 연구하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 형태적 측면에서는 ‘嚴X’ 유의어군의 형태소 구성방식과 중첩 가능 여부를 살펴봄으로써 그 특징을 분석하였다. 화용적 측면에서 BCC 범주별 코퍼스의 출현빈도에 근거하여 현대중국어에서 어떤 단어들이 자주 사용되는지와 소멸되어 가는 단어를 조사하였으며, ‘嚴X’가 강한 문어적 성향의 단어임을 밝혔다. 통사적 측면에서 빈도가 높은 네 가지 유의어 ‘嚴格-嚴峻-嚴厲-嚴肅’가 어떤 통사형식으로 더 자주 쓰이는지 유의어 간의 차이를 분석하였으며, ‘嚴X’가 다른 상용형용사의 통사 경향과 다른 점이 있는지를 밝히고자 하였다. 의미적 측면에서 통사유형별로 ‘嚴X’의 논항관계에 있는 연어(collocation)를 조사하였고, 이들 연어항목들의 유의성 검토를 거쳐 얻어진 공기어의 사용 실태와 의미 특징을 살펴봄으로써 ‘嚴X’유의어군의 의미차이와 공통점을 분석하였다.
This study targets the adjectives '嚴格-嚴緊-嚴峻-嚴苛-嚴酷-嚴厲-嚴肅', which have the common meaning of 'strict' among compound words with the morpheme '嚴' as a component, we studied morphological, pragmatic, syntactic, and semantic features by analyzing various frequency indicators output from the BCC corpus. In terms of morphology, the characteristics of the '嚴X' synonym group were analyzed by examining the morpheme composition method and whether overlap is possible. In terms of pragmatics, based on the frequency of appearance in the corpus by BCC category, we investigated which words are used more frequently in modern Chinese and in which writing style, and found that '嚴X' is a word with a literary tendency. In terms of syntax, the four highly frequent synonyms '嚴格-嚴峻-嚴厲-嚴肅' were analyzed to determine which syntactic form is more frequently used. In terms of semantics, the meaning differences and commonalities of '嚴X' were analyzed by investigating the collocation of '嚴X' by syntactic type and examining collocate use.
