본고는 'S행위자+O피행위자+VP'의 구문의 의미·통사적 분석을 통해 문장 수용성에 영향을 미치는 원인을 동사구 분석이라는 새로운 시각에서 연구를 시도하였다. 그 결과 동사구의 구조적 특성이 문장과 수용성에 지대한 영향력을 행사한다는 사실을 밝혔고 구체적으로 동사구의 통사적 길이가 문장 성립에 결정적 원인이 됨을 규명하였다. 뿐만 아니라 구문은 특수 강세 없이 자연초점을 가지고 문장으로서 독립적으로 사용이 가능하며 이때 자연초점은 동사구에 있다는 것 또한 다양한 예문 분석을 통해서 증명해냈다. 본 연구는 이처럼 새로운 연구방법을 제공한 데에 의의를 가지며 앞으로의 SOV 연구에 새로운 시각을 제공할 것이라 기대한다.
This paper attempted to study the causes that affect sentence acceptability from a new perspective of verb phrase analysis through semantic and syntactic analysis of the phrase 'Sagent + Opatient + VP'. As a result, it was revealed that the structural characteristics of verb phrases have a great influence on sentences and their acceptability, and specifically, it was established that the syntactic length of verb phrases is a decisive factor in sentence formation. In addition, the phrase can be used independently as a sentence with natural focus without special stress, and it was also proven through analysis of various example sentences that the natural focus is on the verb phrase. This study is significant in providing a new research method and is expected to provide a new perspective for future SOV research.
