『四聲通解』에 나타난 韻會音의 韻母 표기에 대하여

A Study on Chinese Final Reading of Yunhuiyin Reflected in Saseongtonghae

四聲通解는 1517년에 漢學의 대가 崔世珍이 편찬한 韻書로 여러 중국 운서의 음이 제시되어 있는데, 그중 특히 ‘蒙韻’과 ‘韻會’라고 하여 음을 제시한 부분이 많은 주목을 받아 왔다. 본고에서는 四聲通解에서 ‘韻會’라 하고 한글 주음이 달려 있는 242개 항목의 ‘韻會音’에서 韻母 표기 부분을 논의한다. 본고는 韻會音의 자료적 가치를 온전히 평가하고 운모 표기에 대한 면밀한 고찰을 통해 표기 체계와 함께 그 표기가 반영하는 운모 체계를 제시하며 한글 표기의 성격에 대하여 살펴보는 것을 주요한 목적으로 한다. 韻會音의 운모 표기를 통하여 조선시대에 사용된 중국어음 표기 방식이 중국 운서의 음을 표기하는 데 어떻게 응용되었는가의 문제를 다른 조선시대 자료에 나타난 표기와 비교하여 살펴본다. 또한 韻會音이 어떤 자료를 반영하는 것인가를 밝히기 위하여 古今韻會擧要와 韻會音 사이에 차이가 나는 부분을 찾아서 분석하고자 한다.

This paper examines Chinese final reading of Yunhuiyin reflected in Saseongtonghae. Tonghae, a rhyme book published in 1517, has received much attention for its presentation of the notes of various Chinese rhyme books, especially for its presentation of the notes called Mengyin and Yunhui. This paper discusses Chinese final readings of 242 items in the Yunhuiyin of the Tonghae with Korean notes. The main purpose of this paper is to fully evaluate the material value of Yunhuiyin and to present Chinese final reading system and what phonological system it reflects through a close examination of the final readings. I will also examine the nature of the readings. Through the final reading of Yunhuiyin, we will examine how the Chinese sound transcription system used in the Joseon Dynasty was applied to the sound transcription of the Chinese rhyme books by comparing it with the transcriptions in other Joseon Dynasty sources. We will also try to find and analyse any differences between Gujinyunhuijuyao and Yunhuiyin in order to determine which source Yunhuiyin reflects. Yunhuiyin is a valuable resource for the study of Chinese rhyme books and the study of Chinese language in Joseon Dynasty. Therefore, further research is still needed on the nature and source of the Yunhuiyin, and we hope that related researchers will continue to pay attention to it.
