현대중국어 지속 의미 유의어 ‘一直/始終/一向/一貫’의 코퍼스 기반 비교 연구 - BCC와 CCL을 사용한 교차검증을 중심으로

A Corpus-Based Comparative Study of the Modern Chinese Synonyms 'yizhi-shizhong-yixiang-yiguan' Expressing Durative Meaning - Focusing on Cross-Validation of BCC and CCL

본 연구는 현대중국어의 지속 의미를 지닌 유의어군 ‘一直’, ‘始終’, ‘一向’, ‘一貫’을 대상으로, BCC와 CCL 코퍼스에서 이들 단어와 관련된 빈도와 용례를 수집하여 분석하였다. 먼저 각 단어의 장르별 출현 빈도를 대조함으로써 사용 범주의 분포적 특징을 파악하고, 이와 함께 해당 유의어들과 함께 나타나는 공기어(collocate)를 추출하여 통사 특징과 의미 특징을 분석하였다. 나아가 행동 프로필(Behavioral Profile) 방법론을 적용하여 유의어들의 공기 패턴을 수치화하고, 이들이 실제로 사용되는 문맥의 특성을 정량적으로 기술하였다. 또한 계층적 병합군집분석(hierarchical agglomerative cluster analysis)이라는 통계 기법을 통해 이들 유의어 간의 통사적·의미적 유사도를 측정하고, 상호 간의 관계 구조를 시각화하였다. 통사층위에서는 ‘一直’과 ‘始終’이 먼저 유사군집으로 묶이며, ‘一向’과 ‘一貫’이 또 다른 군집을 이루었으며, 의미층위에서는 ‘始終’과 ‘一向’이 1차 군집으로 묶여 가장 유사한 것으로 나타났으며, ‘一直’와 다시 2차 군집이 되고, 2차군집이 다시 ‘一貫’과 묶이는 것으로 나타나 통사층위와 다른 경향을 보인다.

This study investigates the synonymous group of modern Chinese expressions denoting durative meaning—yīzhí(一直), shǐzhōng(始终), yīxiàng(一向), and yīguàn(一贯)—through corpus-based analysis using the BCC & CCL corpus. First, genre-based frequency distributions of each synonym were compared to identify patterns in usage domains. Collocates of each target word were then extracted to analyze the semantic and syntactic features of their co-occurring elements. Furthermore, the Behavioral Profile approach was employed to quantify the collocational patterns and to capture contextual characteristics of usage. In addition, hierarchical agglomerative cluster analysis was applied to measure the degree of semantic and syntactic similarity among the synonyms, thereby revealing their interrelationships within the synonym group. In the syntactic dimension, yīzhí (一直) and shǐzhōng (始終) were first grouped into a cluster, while yīxiàng (一向) and yīguàn (一貫) formed another cluster. In the semantic dimension, however, shǐzhōng (始終) and yīxiàng (一向) were grouped together first as the most similar pair, which then clustered with yīzhí (一直) in a second stage; this second cluster was subsequently joined by yīguàn (一貫). This reveals a tendency in the semantic layer that differs from that of the syntactic layer.
