民国 시대 이래로 汉字简化를 주장해온 学者들의 건의와 民衆的인 요구는 ‘述而不作’의 한자 개혁 기본정신을 수립하였다. ‘述而不作’이란 簡化字가 ‘俗字’, ‘古字’, ‘草書’ 등을 근간으로 하였으며, 이에 한자의 '전통적인 書寫 관습과 문화'에 위배되지 않음을 천명한 것이다. 본고는, 전통적 서사방식을 근간으로 한 바에야 모든 簡化字는 일정부분 '전통적 조자원칙'의 영향을 반드시 받고 있었을 가능성을 염두에 두고, 모두 9개 편방에 걸친 13자의 간화자에 대한 전통적 조자원칙을 살펴보았다. 연구 결과 13자 가운데 쓰여진 9개 편방은 모두가 ‘형성자’의 성부로 기능하고 있으며, 모두 형성자로서의 전통 조자방식에 비교적 접근하는 일정한 근거를 지니고 있음을 각각 살펴보았다.
Principle of 'not creating but following tradition(述而不作)' has been established from the incipient stage of the People's Republic of China, being cheered by the Scholars who supported Simplification of Chinese Characters, as well as people's requirement. 'Not creating but following tradition' refers to the fact that Simplified Chinese Character (簡化字) does not spoil the convention and culture of traditional writing, being composed on the basis of 'Popularized Characters (俗字)', 'Ancient writing (古字)', 'Cursive script (草書)'. Taking notice of this fact, under the preposition that at least partly all Simplified Chinese Characters has inevitably been influenced by a definite traditional composition principle, this essay is to review 13 Simplified Characters covering 9 Chinese character components (偏旁) in total. All the 9 character components display function of phonetic complement (聲符) in Pictophonetic Characters (形聲字), corresponding to 13 Simplified Characters in all. To conclude, it is approved that 9 Phonetic-Complements (聲符偏旁) of 13 characters reveal traditional composition formula.
