ZOOM을 활용한 스마트 e-러닝 적용 시고

A Practical Review on the Zoom-based Smart e-Learning

온라인 강의의 가장 큰 장점은 시공간의 자유라고 할 수 있다. 교수자와 학습자가 반드시 같은 시간과 공간을 공유할 필요가 없다는 특성은 교육의 효율성 증대와 교육 기회의 확대라는 점에서 매우 큰 의의가 있다. 하지만 부정적인 의견도 적지 않다. 특히 대학수업은 발표, 토론 등 상호교류가 요구되는데 대면 수업이 아닌 e러닝으로는 한계가 있다는 지적이다. 게다가 학습자의 관리가 어려워 학습효율 저하가 우려된다는 시선도 적지 않다. 최근에는 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위하여 실시간 e러닝 수업이 시도되고 있다. 실시간 e러닝 수업은 공간에 제약을 받지 않음과 동시에 교수자와 학습자의 소통, 학습자 관리가 가능하다는 점에서 주목할 가치가 있다. 필자는 초·중급중국어 수업에서 ZOOM 플랫폼을 활용하여 실시간 e러닝 수업을 시도하였다. 아래에 수업효율 고찰, 그리고 설문조사 결과에 대한 통계분석을 통하여 학습자의 의견을 분석해보도록 한다.

It is the biggest advantage of e-Learning that allows ubiquitous study over time and place. In this new online learning environment, teachers and learners do not have to be at the same time and place. It has a significant meaning in terms of better accessibility to the learning opportunities as well as enhanced efficiency in education. On the other hand, however, there is also growing concern about e-Learning: academic courses in the university generally involves a significant amount of presentation, debate, and mutual interaction, which is impracticable in e-Learning. Others are also concerned that the efficiency of e-Learning may be compromised due to the difficulty in management of learners. To overcome these shortcomings, real-time e-Learning classes are being suggested recently. Real-time e-Learning classes are not constrained by the limits of time and space, allowing ubiquitous participation and interaction between the teacher and students. We propose a smart e-Learning model using Zoom platform in the beginner and intermediate-level Chinese language course. In addition, the review on the efficiency of this smart e-Learning model and the statistical analyses of the survey results with learners' feedback will be suggested.
