『禪門拈頌集』 頌과 入聲 변화 시기 연구

A Study on the Changes of the Entering Tones in the Odes of Seonmun Yeomsongjip

This paper examines changes in entering tones by observing odes (頌) that rhyme with the entering tone in Seonmun Yeomsongjip. A total of 339 odes rhyme with the entering tone, whereas 45 odes rhymed with the syllabic ending of the entering tone. The mix of the syllabic ending that rhymes with the entering tone showed all the probabilities of combining /-p/, /-t/, /-k/, but the ratio of /-t/ and /-k/was the highest, at 62.2%. The analysis on the period and activity region of the writers showed that the mixed-use of the entering tone's syllabic ending became popular during the Northern Song period, before which such a tendency in poems had not existed. Based on the ode, of which syllabic endings rhymed with the entering tone and non-entering tone, during the Northern Song period, it can be assumed that there was still syllabic endings to the entering tone, as the entering tone begins to rhyme with the non-syllabic ending; rather, the syllabic ending either disappeared before the Northern Song period or during it. The study aims to observe the changes in odes by analyzing actual odes that were popularized at the time by the people who lived during the era. A microscopic approach using the information that reflects the actual language would help analyze the linguistic changes.
