한국인을 위한 ‘了’의 교학문법 설계

Design of a Pedagogical Grammar for ‘了’ for Koreans

‘了’는 중국어에서 사용빈도가 2번째로 높은 단어이다. 그러나 ‘了’가 갖는 의미적 추상성과 출현 상황의 다양성 때문에 ‘了’의 학습과 교육에 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다. 그동안 이론문법에서 ‘了’와 관련하여 훌륭한 연구 성과들이 많이 축적되어왔지만 아쉽게도 이러한 연구들이 실제 중국어 교육에 효과적으로 반영되지 못하고 있다. 본 고는 ‘了’의 효과적인 교육을 위해서 교학문법이라는 이론적 기반을 바탕으로 ‘了’에 대한 체계적인 문법기술을 시도해 보고자 한다. 이론문법에서의 연구 성과를 교육적 시각에서 새롭게 해석하고 문법 규칙의 원리를 설명함으로써 학습의 효율을 높이고자 하였다. ‘了’를 어떻게 가르쳐야 하는지에 대한 논의를 위해 먼저 1장에서는 기존의 문법서들에서 제시하고 있는 내용 중에서 ‘了’의 학습에 혼선을 빚고 있는 몇 가지 주요한 문제점들을 살펴보았고, 2장에서는 鄧守信(2010)에서 제시하고 있는 문법기술의 기본 ‘틀(frame work)’에 맞추어 ‘了’에 대한 교학문법을 어떻게 기술할 것인지 그 구체적인 방법에 대해 논의해 보았다. 마지막으로 4장에서는 2장과 3장에서 논의된 내용들을 바탕으로 한국인 학습자들을 위한 교학문법 설계에 필요한 ‘了’의 실제 문법기술 시안을 제시해 보았다. 본 고에서 설계한 ‘了’에 대한 문법기술이 지속적으로 수정·보완되어 앞으로 보다 완벽한 교학문법이 완성되기를 기대하며, 교학문법이 하나의 독립된 학문으로 더욱 발전을 이루어 이론문법에서의 연구를 교육적 관점에서 재해석하여 실제 교육에 연결시키는 역할을 훌륭히 해낼 수 있기를 기대한다

‘了’ is the second most frequently used word in Chinese. However, due to the semantic abstraction of ‘了’ and the diversity of appearance situations, there are many difficulties in learning and education of ‘了’. Until now, a lot of excellent research results have been accumulated in relation to ‘了’ in theoretical grammar, but unfortunately, these studies have not been effectively reflected in actual Chinese language education. For effective education of ‘了’, this study attempts to describe a systematic grammar for ‘了’ based on the theoretical basis of pedagogical grammar. The research results in theoretical grammar were newly interpreted from an educational perspective and the principles of grammar rules were explained to increase the efficiency of learning in this study. First, in Chapter 1, to discuss how to teach ‘了’, among the contents suggested in the existing grammar books, this study examined some of the major problems that are causing confusion in the learning of ‘了’. In Chapter 2, in accordance with the basic ‘frame work’ of grammar description presented in Deng Shouxin (2010), this study discussed how to describe a pedagogical grammar for ‘了’ in detail. Lastly, in Chapter 4, based on the discussions in Chapters 2 and 3, this study presented a draft for the actual grammar description of ‘了’ necessary for designing a pedagogical grammar for Korean learners. It is expected that the grammar description for ‘了’ designed in this study will be continuously revised and supplemented to complete a more complete pedagogical grammar in the future, and the pedagogical grammar will further develop as an independent discipline, so that the research in theoretical grammar can be reinterpreted from an educational perspective and play an excellent role in connecting it to actual education.
