A Study of Duanyucai's theory of Gujinzi in the Shuowenjiezi

The purpose of this study is to examine the concepts and definitions of Chinese characters different forms and to analyze the representative Chinese characters different forms based on the theory of Duanyucai. Chinese characters different forms is a linguistic phenomenon that occurs when the development of language is reflected in the characters. Therefore, the study of Chinese characters different forms has a very important meaning in the interpretation of ancient literature and ancient Chinese studies. Since the interest in Chinese characters different forms began from Han dynasty, certain researches have been carried out to reach Qing dynasty. In particular, among these scholars, Duanyucai made a great contribution to the research of linguistic by systematically studying the Chinese characters different forms for the first time in Chinese history.
