음변화 이론을 통한 中古 중국어 음운 변천 연구 - 唇音을 중심으로

A Study on the Sound Change of Middle Chinese through the Sound Change Theory

본 연구는 중고 중국어의 각 시기, 지역별 문헌들의 다량의 데이터를 이용한 양적 연구 단계에 대한 선행 연구로, 중고 중국어 음운 변천 대한 이론적 고찰을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구는 中古 중국어 唇音을 예로, 공시 평면의 여러 方言들과 이들의 통시적 발전 과정을 모두 고려하여, 남북 각 지역 음운체계 변천 시기와 변천 속도는 차이가 있으며, 중국어 音韻史 시기구분에 있어 지역적 차이 역시 중요성하다는 점에 대해 확산식 음변, 산점다선식 음변 등 이론적 방법론에 대해 토론하였다. 중고 중국어의 많은 음운 변화와 발전과정은 다양한 방식으로 진행되었다. 특히 순음의 경순음화는 上古 중국어에서 中古 중국어로 발전하며 매우 특징적인 변화가 발생한다. 이러한 경순음화의 음변화는 여러 방법으로 분석될 수 있는데, 공시적 측면에서는 그것이 어휘확산적인 분포를 보이는 것으로 볼 수 있으나, 그 음변화 방향이 남에서 북으로 확산되었다고 보기에는 어려운 증거들이 관찰된다. 또한, 기존 연구 자료들은 각 시기를 대표하는 문헌들을 선택한 일선식 변천에 대한 서술이 주를 이루었으나, 이는 각 시기의 중심이 되는 지역음의 변천 과정에 대한 것이지, 진정한 중국어사 발전 과정을 보여주는 결과는 아니다. 중국어의 특수한 발전 상황에 비춰볼 때, 각 방언점을 기준으로 각 지역별 음변화 과정을 관찰해야 하는데, 이는 각각의 지역에서 발생하여 각자의 발전과정을 거친 산점다선식 음변화 각도에서 좀더 세밀한 분석이 뒷받침 되어야 한다.

This study starts from the point of limitation of 'one line transition(一線式 變遷)' model which dealt with the development process of Chinese based on particular era and particular area in traditional Chinese phonology history division and transition study. If we look at the development process of the Chinese phonology history by simply connecting the differences between the North and South regions that exist between the dynasties that are central to each period and those bassoons, it is difficult to get an objective and accurate conclusion about the interpretation whether this reflects the periodical change process, or simply from regional differences. This study starts from the point of view of the 'scattered multi-line transition(散點多線式 變遷)' model designed to overcome the limitations of this 'one-line transition(一線式 變遷)' model. The 'scattered multi-line transition(散點多線式 變遷)' means that there can not be only one sound system point on the same disclosure plane, and needs to set several sound system points in consideration of each dialect situation, so these each 'scatter points' again develops diachronically. This study is proves south and north phonology's development period and speed shows different with consideration of synchronic system's many dialects and their development. Also proves that Chinese historical phonology's period difference is also important.
