In this paper, I examine nominal forms in old chinse and discuss aspects of their syntactic construction. In particular, I investigate certain methods of forming nominal construction in old chinese. I will turn to a structural analysis of the constructions under investigation, such as use of function word, inversion of word order, and choice of a sentence pattern or style. After reviewing the usage of the nominal form in old chinese, I will discuss that the development of the nominal form in fact resulted from the typological change of chinese.
