품사분류 연원과 중국어 품사분류 발전과정

품사는 교학어법의 매우 중요한 부분이다. 본고는 중국어 교학에 있어서의 품사분류 체계를 이해하기 위해 쓰여 졌다. 우선 중국어의 품사체계 역시 라틴문법의 품사체계를 바탕으로 하고 있기 때문에 고대 라틴 문법에서 품사분류가 어떻게 출현하고 성립되었는지를 고찰해봄으로써 이를 통해 명확한 품사정의와 품사분류 기준의 근거를 살펴보았다. 고대 라틴문법의 8품사체계는 16세기 무렵 서양인 선교사들에 의해 처음 중국에 유입되어 중국어 품사분류에 적용되었다. 하지만 서구 언어와 달리 형태가 결여된 중국어에 형태와 의미를 주된 기준으로 한 서구 언어의 품사분류체계를 적용시키는 과정에서 많은 문제점들이 나타났다. 《馬氏文通》(1898년) 이후로 품사문제에 대해 지속적인 연구가 이어지다가 1950년대에 이르러 큰 주목을 받게 되었고, 1956년 마침내 규범문법으로서의 통일된 품사분류 체계가 확립되었다. 그러나 아직 많은 문제들이 해결되지 못한 채 불완전한 상태의 품사체계가 오랫동안 학교문법에 적용되어 오고 있기 때문에, 여전히 중국어 교학을 위한 보다 효과적인 품사분류 체계의 모색이 필요하다. 본고에서는 중국어 품사분류의 역사적 발전과정을 통해 후속연구에서 진행될 중국어 품사교학어법 설계를 위한 논고를 마련하고자 하였다.

The parts of speech is a key point in a pedagogical grammar. This article aims to understand the system of parts of speech for Chinese grammar teaching. First, investigate the emergence and the establishment of the system of parts of speech in ancient Latin grammars, Because the system of Chinese word-class is based on Latin grammar. From the beginning of the division of parts of speech we can also definitely understand about the definitions and properties of each part of speech. The system of the eight parts of speech in Latin grammars was brought into China by Western missionaries in 16th century, and was used without any visible transformations in essence. But it also generated a lot of problems. The fundamental reason is due to the difference between Chinese and European languages. grammatical morphology and semantics may play an important role in differentiating word classes of European languages, but Chinese does not have overt morphology, and can not use explicit grammatical morphology marking the syntactic category of a word. The parts of speech has aroused the attention of many scholars since the publication of “Ma Shi Wen Tong” in China and it has become a very important issue in the early 1950s. The Chinese grammarians tried to adapt the Latin system to their own needs. In1956, Finally Unified Chinese word-class system for teaching Chinese grammar, But that doesn't mean this system is complete without any problems. There are still some problems to be solved. we still need to design more efficient system of parts of speech for the Chinese teaching. Due to the limited space, The design for Pedagogical Grammar of Chinese word-class is waiting for follow-up researchers to further study.
