This paper is aimed at contrasting/analyzing the semantic segment aspect of Korean/Chinese ‘accept’ kind vocabulary. People apply the word forming method to the existing word to make new words or expand the meaning of existing word to express by applying the mechanism of metaphor or metonymy in order to indicate the newly created object. In this way ‘accept’, the essential language expression in the communication, also becomes the word-forming factor or is broadly being used in indicating several situations by various methods through the meaning expansion. Therefore it is meaningful to analyze the meaning of Korean/Chinese ‘accept’ as a single vocabulary. This study defined the correlation dictionary as the extract sample material to analyze the meaning of Korean ‘accept’ kind vocabulary and Chinese ‘accept’ kind vocabulary and analyze its segment aspect contrastively, and selected the ‘accept’ kind vocabulary through the confrontation verification method to polysemy ‘accept’. ‘Accept’ was set as a basic word in the following ‘accept’ kind and basic semantic structure and expansion semantic structure were arranged. The basic semantic structure is the structure that the central meaning of ‘accept’ has due to the nature and expansion semantic structure refers to the semantic structure the surrounding meanings of ‘accept’ has due to the nature. The semantic segment aspect of Korean/Chinese ‘accept’ kind vocabulary was contrasted and analyzed by extracting the meaning talents the ‘accept’ kind vocabulary had according to the relationship between each factor forming this semantic structure.
