A study of Internet based Teaching Methods for current Chinese teaching in Korea

To adapt the course learning to the social development in the 21st Century and meet the requirements for the qualifications of the talents in the information society, we have made some changes in the Course of current Chinese. The internet, as an aided means of teaching, has been attached importance and initially developed in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. This paper introduces the present teaching situation of the current Chinese Course in Korea, discusses the applications of the Internet to the Course and points out its advantages and problems as well. In the study, the followings are proposed for more effective teaching. 1) Improvement on the evaluation method and increase of lecture hours and credits. 2) the instructor should provide every possible ways to improve communicative competence in Chinese for the Students.
