Emblem and mascot used in Olympics are useful and important materials for study to appreciate the sense of the beauty of host country’s people. Beijing Olympics emblem and mascot are symbolic things and the meanings of visual communications. These two things are used to improve the image of China and Chinese people. This study purports to review the meanings and effects of Beijing Olympics emblem and mascot by analyzing their colors, designs, lay-outs as visual communication. By analyzing them, understanding of the beauty of Chinese culture can be reached.
