This paper makes a multidimensional analysis of “yishi” and “yike” from the angle of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language so that reveals their semantic and syntactic features and useable laws. In the first place, it describes semantic and syntactic features of “yishi” and “yike”, and points out their similarities and differences. Secondly, it discusses the adaptability of tense environment of “yishi” and “yike”. Finally, it discusses part of speech of “yishi” and “yike”, and points out their attribute of temporal word. The study of this paper may deepen our understanding of the temporal words.
